IWMF'08 will take place in Northwestern University on 5-7 October 2008
Micromachine/MEMS Fair at Tokyo Big Sight West Hall 1&2, on 30 July - 1 August.
AMS is offering system solutions in the field of micro-mechatronics. Micro-mechatronics system concept includes high precision motion platforms, micro-end effectors (microgrippers, microsyringes, microprobes, etc.), control electronics, vision system (optical microscope) and a HMI (Human Machine Interface). These submodules are integrated according to the necessities of the process to be implemented on the system and the most versatile solution will be generated with our years of experience in this area.
The production of microsystems integrated with many functionalities, many components made of different materials require flexible, modular, accurate mechanisms, which can finely pick, orientate, move and release different types of objects at the right place. In the presence of microparts assembly is a key issue in the formation of a product since different functions require different materials within a product. In addition microassembly is the key for the development, modification and maintenance of hybrid microproducts.
Microfactory is a small production system which is suitable for production and manufacture of small parts and assembly of these parts in order to form a product by realizing the minimization of the production systems and processes. With the introduction of microfactories, production activities can be limited to the minimum possible level, in a way to produce only necessary things when they are really needed in the quantity of minimum requirements at the place where they are requested, and such production attitude is also considered to respond flexibly to diverse needs of individual consumers.
Micromanipulation is becoming an important technique in biology, material sciences, medicine and in many other fields. It can be considered as the manipulation of cells, materials, parts with a specialized manipulation tool in order to perform the desired action. By means of there manipulation tools and the system allowing the operator to control the manipulation process through a GUI or a MMI, many difficult processes which can not be handled by human hands can be easily realized using micromanipulation platforms.
High precision motion requires high precision actuators. In that context, AMS is producing several types of actuators (serial & parallel kinematics) and integrate them to the system in order to provide the necessary motion according to the type of the application to be performed.
